Remember David Champagne’s leadership! Marine Corporal David Champagne earned the Medal of Honor posthumously for actions this day in Korea when he jumped on a Chinese grenade and saved the lives of his fellow Marines. A son of Maine and of Rhode Island, he was serving with A/1/7 at the Punchbowl when his company ran into a fierce Chinese counter-attack. Honor his courage and remember his leadership.
